Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum

Our client is a leading privately-owned building services provider, known for maintaining high-quality facilities in Central London. They are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The site is a vibrant and historic site, offering a unique working environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance is met and addressing any issues promptly. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a supportive team of three other engineers and a site manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on various electrical systems.

  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service requests from tenants.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.

  • Lighting systems (general, emergency, outdoor, security)

  • Power distribution systems (switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers)

  • HVAC system components

  • Fire and safety systems (alarms, detectors, emergency exit signs)

  • Security and access control systems (CCTV, access control)

  • Communication systems (data cabling, PA systems)

  • Conduct emergency light testing, legionella checks, and fire alarm checks.

  • Maintain accurate records of all statutory compliance activities and ensure timely completion.

  • Install temporary power solutions as needed.

  • Carry out small lighting installations and upgrades to enhance site functionality.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (desirable).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

Package:

  • Monday to Friday 8-5

  • Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum.
