Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to join their procurement team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing their supply chain, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials essential for their aerospace projects. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, coordinating with various internal departments, and achieving procurement targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best possible deals.
Regular Meetings and Reporting: Conduct regular meetings with suppliers and internal teams. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and market trends.
Liaison Activities: Work closely with the Goods In and Goods Out teams, Material Planners, and overseas offices to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of materials.
Target and Quota Achievement: Strive to meet and exceed procurement targets and quotas, contributing to the overall success of the company.
High Standards Compliance: Ensure all procurement and buying activities comply with the stringent standards required in aerospace engineering, maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the aerospace engineering industry.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with procurement and buying software and processes.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations is a plus.
No formal qualifications are needed.
