A forward-thinking and inclusive school in Dagenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with additional needs and make a lasting impact on their academic and personal development.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or behavioral challenges.
A solid understanding of strategies to support children's emotional, social, and academic needs.
Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to overcoming challenges in the classroom.
A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting all learners.Key responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum.
Developing and implementing tailored support strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and teaching staff.
Supporting the emotional and social development of students, helping them build confidence and independence.
Assisting in managing challenging behavior in a calm and professional manner.
Monitoring and documenting pupil progress, adapting support plans as necessary.
Contributing to the wider school community by fostering an inclusive and positive environment.What the school offers:
