Classroom Support are excited to be working with an amazing SEN School (Pupils aged 3-16) in Chelmsford!

Classroom Support are currently searching for a promising Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a wonderful SEN (Special Educational Needs) School in Chelmsford. The school supports pupils aged 3-16 years of age with various forms of SEN but specialises in supporting pupils with Autism.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting students with SEN. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting such students in 1:1 and group settings and have first-hand experience working with children with Autism and/or other forms of SEN.

It is essential that you have previous experience of working with children with SEN, are confident in supporting children with severe and complex needs.

This is a long-term supply role with an option to go permanent after you have completed 12 academic weeks.

The specifications of the role are as follows:

* Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only).

* £85-95 per day.

* Temporary to permanent.

* Weekly pay.

* To supervise and provide educational support for pupils with special educational needs.

* To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities.

* To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher.

* To demonstrate patience and resilience when supporting challenging pupils.

To start in September 2024.

The requirements of the role are as follows:

* You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20).

* You must have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.

* You must be confident supporting with severe and/or complex needs.
