We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager to join a team in Cardiff, taking a pivotal role in the delivery and oversight of construction projects across South Wales and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in main contracting and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end project management across multiple construction sites

Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery against programme, budget, and quality expectations

*

Manage procurement schedules, construction programmes, and resource allocation

*

Maintain close communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

*

Drive operational efficiency and uphold health & safety and compliance standards

*

Support business development and tender processes as required

*

Contribute to long-term operational planning and organisational strategy

Requirements

*

Proven experience with a main contractor in a Senior Project Manager or Operations-level role

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

*

Solid understanding of commercial and contractual project aspects

*

Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven attitude

*

Cladding remediation experience is a significant advantage

*

Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., HNC, Degree, or equivalent)

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black card), First Aid certification (preferred)

Desirable

*

Experience working with local authorities, housing associations, or on high-rise residential schemes

*

Familiarity with current building regulations and cladding safety legislation

*

Membership of a professional body such as CIOB or RICS
