At The Henley Distillery, we're on the hunt for enthusiastic, people-loving freelance events staff to help bring the spirit of gin to life at our tastings, tours and private events.
You'll be part of a buzzing team that shares the magic of gin-making - from the hand-selected botanicals to the mesmerising copper stills that look like they belong on a steampunk movie set. These beauties - Tony, Mac, Daisy & Pauline - are the heart of our operation, crafting small-batch, award-winning gins with serious style.

The Event Experience Partners Opportunity:
This is a diverse and exciting opportunity right at the heart of our customer experience. Having welcomed over 2000 people to the distillery last year, including a hugely successful open day with over 400 visitors in just 4 hours - the events and visitor side of our distillery has seen incredible growth. We're now on the lookout for passionate and driven Events Experience Partners to join our team and help us deliver unforgettable moments for our guests. From leading our immersive distillery experiences where you will guide customers through the history of distilling and help them create their very own distilled gin to running distillery tours and crafting delicious concoctions, you'll play a key role in creating a standout experience that keeps people coming back.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting engaging and informative distillery tours for visitors
• Leading hands-on distilling experiences, educating participants about the distilling process
• Mixing and serving cocktails and G&Ts from the bar
• Setting up and managing market stalls at various events and locations
• Promoting and selling gin and rum products to customers at market stalls
• Maintaining a deep knowledge of our products and production processes to answer visitor inquiries
• Handling cash transactions and managing inventory at market stalls
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed during tours and experiences
• Acting as a key holder for the distillery, opening and closing the distillery
• Assisting with other tasks as needed to support the distillery team
About you:
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling cash and managing inventory
• Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle
• Must be 18 or over due to the handling and serving of alcohol
• Oh… and ideally a passion for gin, rum, and the distilling process
