The Opportunity
Given recent and forecasted project growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experience Safety Manager to become responsible for overseeing and implementing all safety procedures across PC sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role will foster a culture of safety, minimise risks to employees, subcontractors, and visitors, and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Safety Policy Development: Develop, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local legislation.
Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Training and Education: Organise and lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors, ensuring comprehensive understanding of safety protocols.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards. Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a safe working environment.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular safety reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Proven experience in safety management within the construction field such as Large Infrastructure, Rail, Bridges or Nuclear
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement corrective actions.
