Liverpool John Moores University's Faculty of Health is seeking a dedicated Administrative Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support to the Simulation Team. You will assist the Simulation Team in ensuring smooth operations and the effective delivery of simulated practice placements, and simulation-based activities across relevant programmes in the faculty with their associated academic and programme administration.
This dynamic and evolving role involves delivering a high-quality support service to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to an outstanding student learning experience, and meeting business needs. You will have proven experience in an administrative setting and collaborating with a diverse range of staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as well as demonstrable experience of working effectively as part of a team. Proficiency in IT applications, excellent organisational abilities, and a solid understanding of office procedures are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrative support for the simulation team, developing and maintaining efficient procedures to support simulation-based and clinical activities.
- Oversee resource planning and manage software platforms like Canvas, Oxford Medical Simulation (OMS), and ClinicalSkills.net for students' access to essential materials.
- Track student attendance, engagement, and placement hours, processing, reporting, and uploading large datasets.
- Provide administrative support for procurement processes, financial compliance, and external contracts supporting simulation activities.
- Support the coordination of simulation staff induction, training, and operational needs, including IT resources, HR paperwork, and academic uniforms.
- Assist in the planning and execution of program-wide events such as open days and managing simulation facility bookings by external parties.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, team meetings, and quarterly income projection reporting.
- Assist with strategic planning, preparing evidence for business cases, and ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
