We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our team, providing key financial support and insights to drive our business forward. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for finance, a knack for building strong customer relationships, and a desire to contribute to the success of a leading supply chain partner.

Day to day of the role:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring timely pricing analysis, accurate reporting, and trust.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing regular updates to Senior Management.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal control frameworks, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
  • Provide commercial acumen and support decision making across the business.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer contracts, identifying risks and opportunities in collaboration with the Operations team.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing financial processes and systems, particularly during finance system migration.
  • Utilise the CEMAR contracting system to respond to customer queries effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part-qualified or significant experience in a related finance role.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.
  • Proven mathematical and modelling skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Demonstrated drive, energy, and a commitment to creating best practice in the financial spectrum.
  • Proactive, inquisitive nature with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to travel to the customer site in Bridgwater 3 times a week.
