Intermediate Quantity Surveyor/Estimator - Drylining Contractor

We are working with a leading drylining contractor who is seeking a talented professional to join their growing team. About the Company:
Our client is a well-established drylining contractor with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Specialising in a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, leisure, and healthcare, they consistently deliver high-quality projects valued between £50k and £12m. With a strong reputation for excellence, they are looking to expand their team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantities for drylining projects

* Assess project plans and specifications to determine scope of works

* Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules

* Manage costs and budgets for ongoing projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

* Work closely with project managers and site teams to provide cost control and monitor project progress

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms

* Review contracts and manage variations, ensuring all works are correctly priced

* Assist in providing monthly cost reporting and forecasts

Requirements:

* 2+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator within the drylining or construction industry

* Strong understanding of drylining systems, materials, and processes

* Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering

* Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Good communication and negotiation abilities, able to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
