We are now seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of chefs, nutritionists, and food scientists.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the curriculum, inspire creativity, and foster a passion for food, nutrition, and cooking.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring lessons are engaging, creative, and educational.
Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that covers a range of food-related topics, including cooking techniques, nutrition, food science, and food safety.
Encourage students to develop practical cooking skills and an understanding of healthy eating.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents.
Lead and organize extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs, school events, and competitions.
Ensure a safe and well-maintained learning environment, following health and safety guidelines and promoting best practices in food preparation.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure the integration of food education within the broader school curriculum.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Food Technology or a related field.
Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting.
A passion for food, cooking, and teaching, with the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy and practical classroom environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
