This is a remote role.

We are currently recruiting for an Account Director to engage/develop central government customers and supporting agencies, in the UK. This is a key hire, for an experienced individual who wants to join an established team and is highly motivated to unlock new opportunities, develop strategic relationships, secure new logos and make a material difference to our customer engagement. This is a blended role, including managing cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for existing customers and generating/closing opportunities with new named customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating focused account capture and development plans for named/new clients to maximise opportunity, including multi-level contact strategies for structured engagement and predictable business development.
  • Building effective, tactical and strategic level relationships with named clients and maintain an intimate understanding of their business, regional initiatives and networks.
  • Establishing a strong pipeline of well qualified business opportunities, evidencing understanding and control of customer buying criteria and process.
  • Acting as the client’s single point of contact, assisting in the formation of business enabling IT strategies, providing them with access to senior management and subject matter experts across Trustmarque and its partners.
  • Providing proactive client value and thought leadership to customers /prospects in respect of technology and sector trends and establishes Trustmarque as the go to partner for innovation and strategic direction.
  • Leveraging existing frameworks to facilitate direct award, sole source and pace of contracting.
  • Developing effective investment/efficiency ROI modelling to evidence client financial advantage.
  • Collaborating and engaging regularly with strategic partners and vendor relationships to leverage opportunities, stakeholders and in-direct networks and events.
  • Responsiblility for the wider commercial relationship including, but not limited to aged debt, payment and conditions of business.

  • As a client champion, support the effective engagement of colleagues in accordance with aspiration to improve customer experience.
  • Encourage changes in Trustmarque’s use of its products and services.
  • Encourage the development of new products/service solutions.
  • Proactively support regional sales strategy including direction, investment, partners and events.
  • Translate the benefits of working with Trustmarque in respect of social value.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Experience in central government sales experience working across customers in the UK and has the appropriate gravitas to build trust and inspire clients.
  • Evidence of winning new government contracts in a competitive environment.
  • Existing and current stakeholder relationships across public sector in the UK.
  • Adept at business development shaping of multiple opportunities.
  • Strong appreciation of IT, digital and data requirements and drivers in respect of the local government sector.
  • Experience of Microsoft, Cisco and AWS.
  • Experience of working across Public Sector frameworks, locally and nationally.
  • Experienced in developing pricing/business case models through effective benefits management.
  • Has strong and demonstrable planning, communication and presentation skills.
  • Is familiar with the structure, skills and business environment of local government organisations.
  • Is customer focussed, with professional services orientation.
  • Can quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of the customer’s organisation and requirements.
