Due to expansion within the business, an opportunity for a Client Accountant has become available within the residential team based in London. This position offers hybrid working, the chance to work alongside senior members of staff and exposure working on a high-end portfolio. The core responsibilities of this Client Accountant position will be carrying out service charge and credit control duties. It is essential that you have real estate experience for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quarterly service charge analyses, including budget variances and statements for internal and external use. Review service charge expenditure, identify and correct posting errors, and post journal transfers as needed.
• Review invoice coding, monitor costs against budgets, and reconcile utility recharges.
• Set up Direct Debit payment plans, process credit card payments, and direct tenants to the tenant portal for payment.
• Issue timely reminders and follow up on overdue payments by telephone and email.
• Address tenant account queries and provide resolutions.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and previous experience of credit control and service charge accounting for a real estate business.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with property management systems like Qube is advantageous.
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working on a property management system such as Yardi, Qube, Propman, Tramps, Etc.
