Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

Our client, a successful and growing Events and Merchandising company, are seeking an experienced international Group Accountant for a newly created role.  Reporting to the CEO this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Senior Leadership team. The role will be based in the company’s West London offices with excellent transport links and on-site parking.

The Group Accountant will be responsible for supporting the CEO to drive the commercial strategy and oversee their UK and German Finance teams, as well as working with a number of international partners. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and oversee intercompany transactions. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, driving financial performance and ensuring compliance with international standards.  

You will oversee the preparation of project and year-end statutory accounts (turnover circa £50mil) in accordance with reporting guidelines. Be responsible for intercompany accounting and ensuring accurate consolidation of financial results across regions in compliance with UK, German, and international financial regulations and standards. The role will involve close collaboration with the Directors on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and play a key part in commercial decision making.  

The successful candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience of managing teams in international settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP across complex business operations.
  • Experience in managing intercompany accounting across international entities.
  • Solid leadership skills and experience of mentoring/coaching a team
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks desirable and other financial management tools
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and identify process improvements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The salary on offer ranges from £70,000 - £80,000.
