This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance/ Technical Highways engineer to join a team who is dedicated to maintaining the Council's highway infrastructure, planning and implementation of highway maintenance and improvement schemes

As an experienced Highways Maintenance Engineer/ Technical Engineer, you will have a varied workload and will offer engineering solutions for highways carriageways, footway resurfacing, drainage and small and medium scale repairs.
The ideal candidate will have a degree, demonstrate a sound working knowledge of highways, experience of AutoCAD and hold a valid driving license.
This is a great role for an engineer to work in a great environment where you will be a vital cog in the wheel.

The Role:
- Maintenance Engineer (Highways/ Drainage)
- Supervising works in accordance to project plans
- Maintenance of various highway based settings and project areas within a team of skilled engineers

The Person:
- End-to end involvement in projects with specified budgets and briefs, including scheme design.
- Knowledge of highways and the relevant legislation, Health & Safety, Highway and maintenance techniques
- Commutable from Bristol, Bath, Stroud, Weston-Super-Mare and the surrounding areas
