Senior Service Charge Accountant

Up to £47,000 per annum dependant on experience

Central London (3 days in office, 2 days from home)

Our client, a Property Management company based in Central London, is looking to add an experience Service Charge Accountant to their finance team. The successful applicant will be joining an experienced team and will report directly into an impressive FC. This is a diverse role which incorporates elements of company and service charge accounting as well as ad-hoc accounting duties, as required. There is room for progression and also the chance the work for a smaller business where you can get involved in multiple areas of finance.

Key duties of the role will include:

• Responsibility for the production of budgets and accounts within strict deadlines

• Timely production of expenditure v budget reports

• Management of financial compliance

• Oversee junior members of the team

• Liaison with operations/ property management team

• Credit control

• Purchase ledger - payment runs, liaising with suppliers, dealing with contractor queries

• Sales ledger - ownership of arrears for a portfolio of clients, reporting of arrears in monthly management meetings, Credit Control, liaising with occupiers/tenants relating to outstanding amounts and invoice queries

• Banking - bank reconciliations

What the client is looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years’ service charge accounting experience e(commercial or residential)

• Property company experience

• Detail orientated and able to organise their own workload

• Confidence with Microsoft Office suite of programmes and strong Excel skills

• Experience of using Propman is highly preferred
