Salter Grange is working with a leading European construction firm, recognised for creating complex engineering and construction projects for top global corporations. The CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) Design Engineer will ensure technical compliance and manage design aspects of key projects, collaborating closely with teams, consultants, and clients to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Compliance: Ensure that all projects meet the necessary CSA technical standards and regulations.
Design Management: Work closely with clients, project managers, and consultants to develop and maintain Design Delivery Schedules/Programmes.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, while managing and supervising the design team to ensure timely project delivery.
Collaboration: Attend and contribute to design-related meetings, liaise with third-party stakeholders, and optimize designs to minimize unnecessary work.
Procurement: Manage the procurement process for design services, ensuring the selection of the right consultants and the accuracy of the design work.
Document Control: Oversee the management of all engineering documentation, including schedules, technical submittals, and design change controls, throughout the project lifecycle.
Scope Management: Develop and negotiate comprehensive scope-of-work documents and contract deliverables for each CSA discipline.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the department's strategic planning initiatives and provide technical support as needed.
BIM & Technology: Ensure effective use of BIM 360 and manage all related queries, ensuring engineering requirements are aligned throughout the project.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all team members, particularly new hires, are aware of and comply with safety requirements.
Recruitment & Personnel Management: Participate in the recruitment process, from setting selection criteria to final hiring decisions, and manage team development through the company's performance platform.
Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor and audit project documentation to ensure alignment with company standards and project goals.Essential Criteria:

Education: Degree in Design Engineering with a focus on Civil, Structural, or Architectural disciplines.
Experience: Demonstrated experience as a CSA Design Engineer on large-scale projects, particularly in data centres or similar environments.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and work within a team.
