Our client are an award-winning architectural practice working a briefs for residential / commercial developments. General projects would include industrial, retail, mixed use, residential and offices developments.

As the successful candidate you will be proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp and ideally MicroStation.

You will consider design solution options to meet and define further the initial brief. Develop and expand the brief to reach a design solution that considers ownership, planning and cost. Be responsible for design development of various projects to presentation levels and develop this information with other team members to planning and on to completion.

These could include the reuse of a listed or locally listed therefore an understanding of this building type is required.

An understanding of the key commercial drivers of any project. Have the ability to learn the detail design standards regarding project types.

There will also be a requirement to work on smaller scale projects in a dynamic practice working in a design studio environment.

The studio is located to the near Colchester - office based position The working week is 5 days, Monday to Friday, a 37.5hrs per week.

Working on a flexible working day to suit personal circumstances within reason. The core hours are 10.00hrs to 16.00hrs with a lunch break between half an hour to an hour.

A car parking / cycle space is provided. Annual leave is 23 days, of which 3 days must be taken between Christmas and New Year, notice is period is as per employment law
