About The Ned:
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.
As the leader of the Event Sales & Planning team, reporting into the Director of Sales you will:
- Lead the Event Sales & Planning team, holding them accountable and driving success in all performance - commercial, operational, client, and team
- Build a high performing team through accountable managers, regular feedback, open conversations, and effective engagement activities
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to set and own the departmental yearly budgets
- Create and review regular reports, implement action plans and fostering a collective team effort to drive performance to the achievement of Events budget
- Maintain an excellent partnership with the Events Operations team to make sure every event goes off without a hitch
- Build and maintain a full account database of clients and customers using our sales CRM system

What you can bring to the role:
- Previous experience at a Head of Department level would be preferred, but is not essential
- A proven track record of building, developing, and leading teams of sales professionals to deliver and exceed target - people management is the majority of the day to day for our head of department
- Our ideal candidate will have experience in a comparable environment and/or a great understanding of the market space we operate in
- The ability to balance the strategic and the operational, equally comfortable driving performance in our busy day-to-day, or switching into long range planner and strategic mindset
- Rapport building skills are essential for working in our events sales team; every guest is a loyal client or potential new client, so every interaction is crucial
