History Teacher - Croydon

Now Education are working on behalf of a brilliant secondary school in Croydon who are seeking a Teacher of History to join them from September 2024. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students at the school, within a supportive History team that sits in a well-established humanities department. If you have a strong knowledge of the KS3, KS4 and KS5 History curriculum, live within a commutable distance of Bromley, and have a commitment to nurturing students' enthusiasm for History, we would love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 History Curriculum

· Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.

· Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.

· Collaborating with other members of the Humanities department to develop and enhance the History curriculum and resources.

· Building positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers, whilst maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this History Teacher role in Bromley, you should meet the following requirements:

· Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in History or a related subject.

· Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results.

· Strong subject knowledge

· Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
