Job Overview:

DCS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of a market leading metrology company who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer/Inspector to join their business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operating and programming of CMM's with good working knowledge of PCDMIS software. You will be responsible for conducting precise measurements, creating inspection programs, and generating comprehensive inspection reports for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

CMM Programming:
Develop and write CMM programs using PCDMIS software based on engineering drawings and CAD models.
Troubleshoot and modify CMM programs as necessary to accommodate product changes or new inspection requirements.
CMM Operation:
Set up and operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections of complex parts and assemblies.
Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Interpret and analyse measurement data to ensure conformance to specifications.
Inspection and Reporting:
Generate detailed and accurate inspection reports, including data analysis and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Maintain thorough documentation of all inspection activities, including program files, reports, and calibration records.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM programming and inspection, with a strong working knowledge of PCDMIS software.
Experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in PCDMIS software for CMM programming.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
Solid understanding of various measurement tools and techniques.
