We are seeking a Painter to join our team at a HMP Eastwood Park, a closed category Women's prison.

Our team is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment for the women in our care.

The prison runs like a self-contained city, it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed and driving the smooth and safe operation, like a heart that pumps blood through the body, everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, and wider to the families and community.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, other Painters, to Cleaners and Administrators, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Working in a women's prison requires a special kind of person - someone who is patient, empathetic, and able to handle the emotional challenges that come with this unique environment.

We're looking for applicants with:
- A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and decorating (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a maintenance team
- An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace
