About the Role

This is an onsite role with ample parking - you will need to drive and have own car.

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Support Specialist. This is a varied and dynamic role, offering the opportunity to split your time between providing technical support and maintaining IT systems, hardware, and software.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, a calm demeanour under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support. As the role evolves, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including contributing to the development of the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line IT support, offering training and guidance to users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
  • Maintain, update, and monitor IT systems, including hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Perform IT administration tasks such as user management, asset tracking, and system updates.
  • Create and update IT documentation, including help guides and troubleshooting resources.
  • Assist with IT hardware replacement cycles and project delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical support roles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • A logical thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Excellent time management and administrative skills.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting:
    • Microsoft client and server operating systems.
    • Active Directory and Group Policy.
    • Microsoft 365.
    • Networking (DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
    • Wireless systems, web filtering, and antivirus management.
