We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic leader with a strong track record of raising students' attainment. The successful candidate will inspire and enthuse our students, developing an outstanding curriculum, which will instil a love of science for our students.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large team of hard-working specialist teachers who are committed to high standards and the success of our students. Working alongside other TLR post-holders, the successful candidate will develop the curriculum and teaching methodologies alongside providing support and guidance to colleagues.

In our modern facilities, our large science department teaches a variety of subjects and qualifications to develop our students up to Key Stage 5. Through a shared focus on teaching and learning, you will be a team player with the right attributes and focus for the day to day pressures that teaching brings.

Our additional facilities are excellent; with a School Farm to promote conservation work, green issues, environmental science and curriculum enrichment. The department also has a rich programme of trips, visits and extra-curricular activities.
