Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager with a reputable SME residential contractor known for delivering exceptional, bespoke homes across the South and South West of England. This role will involve managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and overseeing cost control, procurement, and contract administration for multiple projects.

Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a friendly team in Bristol. If you have a background in managing Quantity Surveyors within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor environment, we'd love to hear from you. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Core Role Responsibilities:

* Manage and lead a team of three Quantity Surveyors.

* Oversee cost control, procurement, and contract administration for multiple residential projects.

* Provide guidance and support to Quantity Surveyors in estimating, tendering, and purchasing activities.

* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, trades, consultants, and clients.

* Negotiate and finalize contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.

* Monitor project finances and ensure adherence to budgets.

* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

* Collaborate with the senior management team to develop business strategies and project plans.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

* Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of Quantity Surveyors.

Qualifications:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts (JCT and Design & Build).

* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

* Results-driven with a focus on achieving project objectives and targets.
