£20,082.60 - £21,847.20 per annum (equivalent to £33,471-£36,412 p.a FTE).

We are currently recruiting for a Safeguarding Manager for a charity. £20,082.60 - £21,847.20 per annum (equivalent to £33,471-£36,412 p.a FTE) - 21 hours a week.

Ideally looking for someone to split these hours over 5 days (ideal to work around the school run). The right candidate will need to be flexible from time to time on weekends / evenings in order to facilitate meetings and training, but these can be organised around your calendar.

Looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Role would be mainly based in Cardiff, possible to work up to 1 day from home a week. Travelling from time to time will be required within Wales.

Key duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and implement robust safeguarding policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices and monitor compliance with these.
• Report any failure to comply with policy, breaches of process or safeguarding concerns / incidents to the leadership team and external agencies.
• Provide competent expert advice and guidance to staff, volunteers, and the leadership team on safeguarding matters and available resources.
• Plan and conduct risk assessments to identify potential safeguarding concerns.
• Make safeguarding referrals within 24 hours of receipt.
• Collaborate with relevant agencies, local authorities, and law enforcement to take timely and appropriate action to address safeguarding issues effectively.
• Manage any immediate actions required to ensure an individual at risk is safe from harm.
