Assistant Accountant – SW London / Hybrid – Up to £45k

An amazing opportunity for an experienced assistant accountant to join this expanding manufacturing company. They have global offices and a plan to grow substantially over the coming years.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly group management accounts for 5 group companies (Incl UK, US, Australia).
• Assist with all budgeting and forecasting activities, including the analysis of financial data and the identification of trends and variances.
• Conduct cost accounting analysis to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly group VAT returns and MI reporting.
• Maintain the fixed assets registers, prepayments, accruals, intercompany and post journals.
• Review and approve weekly and monthly payment runs to be processed by accounts payable – multiple currencies across multiple subsidiaries.
• Support the accounts payable and the finance assistant with any queries and further develop their experience as necessary.
• Identify any problems and provide solutions, and work cross-functionality to improve the efficiency of processes. 

Experience:

• 3 years’ experience working as an management accountant / assistant management accountant ideally within manufacturing.
• Part Qualified - CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
• Ideally previous MI reporting and cost accounting experience
