Overview:
Join our dynamic maintenance team in Bristol as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias). In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing sortation systems within a fast-paced logistics environment. Your focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of the site's critical systems, with a balance of mechanical expertise and electrical troubleshooting skills.

About the Role:
You'll be working within an innovative logistics operation, dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable supply chain solutions. The maintenance team ensures the site's sortation systems operate seamlessly, with safety and efficiency as key priorities.

Shift Pattern:

* 4-on, 4-off rotational shifts

* Alternating between days (06:00 to 17:40) and nights (17:30 to 05:10)

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct planned maintenance on the sortation systems, following schedules and manufacturer guidelines.

* Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues while addressing electrical faults and performing minor adjustments to sensors and controls.

* Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.

* Identify opportunities to enhance the performance of machinery and processes.

* Perform repair and upgrade tasks on site equipment, plant, and facilities.

* Maintain accurate records of work, downtime, and technical issues using the CMMS system.

* Communicate technical details effectively to other shifts and escalate unresolved issues to management.

What You'll Bring:

* Experience: Multi-skilled maintenance background, with strong mechanical skills and practical electrical expertise. Experience in maintaining sortation systems or within a logistics environment is a plus.

* Technical Knowledge: Ability to diagnose and resolve faults in complex systems, including making adjustments to sensors and other components.

* Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying and addressing issues to ensure operational continuity.

* CMMS Proficiency: Comfortable using maintenance management systems to track work and log issues.

* Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable, with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

* Shift Flexibility: Willing to work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern in a busy logistics environment.
