British Sugar is a home-grown success story and one of the most efficient and competitive beet processers in the world. Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. We, in turn, make this in to over 1 million tonnes of sugar, serving customers across the UK, Ireland and increasingly growing commercially in the EU and world sugar markets.

Salary Range £49,155.00 to £60,599.00

Job Purpose Reporting to the Site Finance Lead you will be an integral member of the team engaging with key personnel delivering financial insight and understanding to the operational site. Working closely with both the operational team and wider British Sugar finance team you will play an important role in assisting and challenging business performance and decision making to deliver improved financial performance on site.

Core Accountabilities
Production and interpretation of weekly and monthly management accounts.
Analysis of financial metrics for your area of responsibility and partnering the business to understand, control and maintain these.
Update and audit of internal systems (JDE and MI) to ensure accurate onward reporting of key metrics.
Production, interpretation and tracking of budgets and forecasting for use within the site.
Tracking and flagging variances to budget for CI and capital projects.
Production of operations product costing across our 4 operational units.
Completion of CMS calculations in with budget timescales.
As area expert, champion company Policy and control to ensure that your area of responsibility is audit ready. Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified / part-qualified & continuing studies
Experience of working in finance within a manufacturing environment
Strong IT skills - particularly MS Excel
Good communication skills including sharing financial data with non-financial teams
Ability to organise and prioritise
Driven with a desire to achieve
Works on own initiative and ability to work as part of a team
