The Opportunity
This company is a leading global provider of technical, professional and scientific services, including engineering, architecture, construction, operations and maintenance. They are passionate about nuclear energy and have been at the forefront of the industry for over 60 years. They are looking for a Piping Mechanical Engineer to join their team and work on some of their major UK and European Projects, including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

The role
As a Piping Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the pipe network design and its supporting structures by performing detailed piping calculations. You will be assessing HVAC and electrical supports for various load scenarios, including dead weight, thermal expansion, and seismic activity. Experience of finite element analysis software and knowledge of Python programming is advantageous for developing specialized tools

Your key responsibilities will include
Ensuring the integrity of the pipe network design and its supporting structures by performing detailed piping calculations.
Assessing HVAC and electrical supports for various load scenarios, including dead weight, thermal expansion, and seismic activity.
Experience of finite element analysis software.
Knowledge of Python programming is advantageous for developing specialized tools.You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
In-depth understanding of mechanical concepts, including modal and static analysis.
Proficiency in mechanical simulations, particularly using finite element methods.
Programming proficiency, especially in Python, for the development of computational tools.
Experience with CAD software for design and modeling.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance related to mechanical engineering.It's Great If You Also Have the Following
