A specialist provision in North Birmingham, catering for primary-aged students and Key Stage 3 students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), is seeking a passionate Qualified Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a newly purpose-built facility designed to support students with additional learning needs.

About the Provision: The school is expanding into a brand-new purpose-built facility, offering state-of-the-art resources to support students with EHCPs. Senior Management and staff work in unison to provide the best opportunities for students to build confidence, independence, and key life skills for a meaningful future.

Your Role: As a Qualified Teacher, you will work with a lively and engaging class of students with a range of special educational needs. The class environment is fun and dynamic, so it's important that you are personable, relatable, and able to connect with students in an engaging way. You'll also work closely with parents to ensure effective communication and support for student development.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students with EHCPs
Support students with Autism and other additional needs
Use and develop knowledge of communication systems, such as PECs (Picture Exchange Communication System), or be willing to learn quickly
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that builds student confidence and independence
Maintain open communication with parents and the school team to ensure effective support for each student
Who Are We Looking For?

Qualified Teacher with QTS (Essential)
Experience with SEN (Preferable but not essential)
Experience with Autism and PECs (Desirable)
A positive, compassionate, and energetic approach to teaching
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
