I am looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in general construction to join my team. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on large-scale projects valued up to £10 million and is looking to take the next step in their career.

With a mix of site, office, and home-based working, you'll have the flexibility to manage projects effectively while maintaining a hands-on approach to cost control and commercial management.

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of high-value construction projects. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

* Managing all commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion

* Preparing accurate cost estimates, procurement schedules, and tender documentation

* Overseeing contracts, valuations, and variations in line with contractual obligations

* Conducting risk assessments and applying value engineering principles

* Producing regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management

* Working closely with project teams to ensure cost efficiency and profitability

* Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements

What I'm Looking For

* Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor in general build projects

* Proven track record of managing projects above £10 million

* Knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT and NEC

* Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite

* A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

* Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required
