About the Role:
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Executive Head Chef to oversee the culinary operations at both Harlaxton Manor and The Gregory Arms, our gastro pub. This prestigious role involves managing a talented team across multiple sites, including a Head Chef and senior kitchen team. Your creativity and passion for fresh, high-quality food will be essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests, staff, and during special events.
Harlaxton Manor serves as an educational hub, hosting Harlaxton College. The college fosters a unique sense of community and excitement in student life, offering opportunities for personal growth and new perspectives. Beyond its role as an educational institution, Harlaxton Manor is a Grade I listed historic house and garden, renowned for its unique blend of Elizabethan and Baroque architectural styles. Set within 300 acres of stunning English countryside, the Manor offers a remarkable setting for various events, including weddings, conferences, and celebrations.
In this role, you will also be responsible for the culinary operations at The Gregory Arms, a 19th-century village pub in Harlaxton offering modern British food in a comfortable rustic setting.
We are seeking an Executive Head Chef who will drive the growth of our businesses and make our events truly special. An exciting project on the horizon is the launch of The Smoke House at The Gregory in May, offering a unique culinary experience to our guests.

Job Description Key Responsibilities:
- Drive culinary innovation and ensure all dishes are crafted with taste and quality in mind.
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including menu planning, stock management, and supplier relationships.
- Lead and inspire a large team, ensuring collaboration and excellence across all kitchens.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality services, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Manage events and ensure seamless execution of catering for various functions.
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally in a school or multi-site environment
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Expertise in fresh, seasonal, and innovative food preparation
- Strong knowledge of stock control, ordering, and kitchen management systems
- Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
