Teaching Assistant - SEN job. Are you looking to make a difference and understand SEN children? If so, please apply for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant position to work with small class sizes of students with a range of learning disabilities; dyslexia, speech & language, mental health & ASD

Based: Rochester, Medway, 34 hours per week - term time. Start: 3 February 2025 (or after notice period)

Ideally you must have:

• A good understanding of working with students in a class based environment with learning disabilities
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to provide personal support to learners
• Ability to work with students of all ages.
• You will help to ensure all students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills
• Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning
• Previous experience working with learning disabilities in a classroom based setting is desirable but not essential.
• Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide, to motivate and enable all students to achieve.
• Good understanding of supporting learning and triggers to provide development and growth

For this SEN TA position:

• Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND qualifications
• GCSE 'C' Maths and English or equivalent

A full training programme is in place for continued CPD.
