Your experience of People and Technical Leadership on systems engineering projects and knowledge of command and control (C2) system or subsystem development, will help you to develop a C2 product and its integration onto customer platforms. Your role will involve leading the team of systems engineers.

About the job: 
  
Often referred to as the brains of the Weapon System, the command and control (C2) systems primary role is to support the human operator with situational awareness and decision aids, and to plan and coordinate engagements. These C2 services are crucial to achieving mission success and maximising performance in challenging and fast-changing threat scenarios. C2 services also include management of overall weapon system state and status, data recording and analysis, operator training and more, providing the core of the weapon system functionality and behaviour. C2s interface with every major component of the weapon system such as sensors, launchers, weapons and datalinks, as well as launch platforms and higher-level C2 networks and systems.

Our client requires a Head of Command and Control System to responsible for the development of a C2 product and its integration onto customer platforms. You will lead the team of systems engineers responsible for requirements analysis, co-design of the C2 with software, hardware, human factors and algorithms engineering disciplines, the proving plan and generation of compliance evidence leading to certification of the product. The job will include;

As a Head of Command and Control System, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

•      Applied experience of work package management and people management
