Progress Teachers are working closely with a Local Mainstream Secondary School to appoint a dynamic and driven Humanities Teacher to support teaching and learning across KS3 & KS4. The successful candidate will support across the wider humanities faculty, but with a particular focus on Geography.

Responsibilities of the role:

* Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to students across KS3 & KS4.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking.

* Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to make the subject matter relevant and interesting for students.

* Assess and evaluate student performance, providing timely constructive feedback to support their academic progress.

* Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Geography, or a related humanities field (PGCE or QTS preferred),

* Proven experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level

* Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring students to explore the complexities of human society

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

* Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom

* Dedication to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practice
