Field Service Engineer required. Our client is a world- renowned Construction and Industrial machinery company that specialise in machine sales, service and parts support. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer due to the growth of the business. Candidates will be covering the Peterborough patch.

Successful candidates will provide onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections. The majority of this work will be Large Equipment, Shovels and Excavators.

Field Service Engineer Position Overview

Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site
Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
Request parts efficiently and effectively
Provide an excellent level of customer service
Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
Supervise Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures is maintained
Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
Present a professional image at all times
Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy
Ensure tools are safe and legal to use.

Field Service Engineer Position Requirements

3+ years in a similar role and industry
Investigate & diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top & underneath the heavy plant machinery.
Solid mechanical aptitude
Full Driving Licence
Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines

Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary: £17- £18 an hour depending on experience
Working hours: 40 hours a week
Overtime available 1.5x
Holiday Package: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
