Job Title: Buyer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
W Talent is pleased to partner with a highly successful business in Nottingham who provide crucial components to some of the world's largest brands.
We are looking for a Buyer to join their purchasing team to support and manage existing supplier relationships, perform necessary negotiations, and ensure smooth and efficient procurement and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing, resolve supplier issues related to OTIF performance, and assist with invoice and pricing variance queries
- Work with suppliers to manage lead times and minimum order quantities (MOQs), optimising inventory levels
- Generate and process Purchase Orders for various industry components
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to align order status with inventory needs
- Monitor open orders and proactively resolve supplier delays, discrepancies, or shortages
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance procurement and planning efficiencies
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Buying or Purchasing Coordinator-level position with proven exposure to working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods is essential
- Experience in a high-volume environment is ideal
- Strong ERP Systems ability including Excel us essential
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and suppliers
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
