Recruiting on behalf of our client, New Resource Recruitment is looking for a talented Design Team Leader to join a leading engineering company in Bristol.

Role Overview:

This role will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Design team and support new product development. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you'll collaborate across departments, ensuring innovative and high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the Design team, managing sprint planning and daily standups.

* Oversee product design, from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

* Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.

* Conduct electronic circuit design, layout, simulation, and testing.

* Work with production, test, and service teams to optimize manufacturability and reliability.

* Ensure product test strategies are implemented throughout development.

Requirements:

* Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or equivalent.

* Experience in hardware system design and schematic/PCB layout (OrCad).

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Familiarity with Agile management tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
