JOB DESCRIPTION - Electrical Estimator

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience in a commercial setting.

2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

3. Strong organisational skills and electrical knowledge.

4. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

5. HNC in Building Services or APM qualification. (Preferred but not required)

6. IOSH/NEBOSH certification. (Preferred but not required)

7. Experience with estimation software platforms like Cypher SEC and Trimble Contracts Master.

8. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Main Role:

1. Lead tender settlement, project handover meetings, and site surveys.

2. Manage estimating enquiries, perform detailed take-offs, and prepare complex quotations.

3. Monitor project costs, budgets, and performance standards, ensuring KPIs are met.

4. Collaborate with procurement, operations, and project teams for resource planning and material approvals.

5. Engage with clients, follow up on tenders, and maintain CRM records.

6. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators, while developing best practices and improving estimation tools.

7. Conduct risk assessments, value engineering, and cost management to align with budgets.

8. Stay updated on industry trends and contribute strategically to business development.
