About Us:
I am recruiting on behalf of a dedicated and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Runcorn, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Our school prides itself on fostering a caring and positive atmosphere where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team.

The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum and develop both academically and socially. You will play a crucial role in promoting a safe and supportive learning environment, assisting with personal care where required, and supporting the class teacher in managing classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
Assist students in accessing the curriculum and support their learning needs.
Help manage challenging behavior and promote positive social skills.
Support students with personal care tasks, if required.
Monitor and record student progress and report any concerns to the class teacher or SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
Work collaboratively with other staff members to implement tailored individual learning plans (ILPs).
Support in the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.What We Are Looking For:

A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally with SEN experience (although training can be provided).
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to use initiative and work independently when needed.
A commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
Relevant qualifications (such as CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable, but not essential.Why Join Us:
