My client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Director of Adult Social Care on a Contract basis.

The role will lead the Adult Social Care and Public Health services, implementing the adult's strategy; developing and implementing cost effective and innovative strategies for provision of services, underpinned by focussed business and financial planning and targeted investment.

About the role:

Based in Greater London (Hybrid):

Provide strategic leadership to ensure that adults' social care positively supports the values and objectives of the Council, promoting prevention, early intervention and resilience to improve outcomes for local people.
Lead the development of service strategies and best practice in commissioning
Build on synergies across the directorate, with Public Health, Housing and the NHS to improve health, wellbeing and independence.
Act as the Directorate and Council lead and advocate in all matters relating to adult social care: strategy, commissioning, operations and transformationAbout you:
You will have the following experiences:

Demonstrable experience in Director / Assistant Director-level positions within adult social care, in a Local Authority environment.
Experience of financial and budgetary management with the ability to formulate financial strategies
Experience of working directly with elected members in a political environment and responding appropriately to challenge and scrutiny
Proven track record of embracing digital approaches and new ways of working that have brought about tangible organisational benefitsWhat's on offer:

Salary: £800-£900+ per day (Inside IR35)*negotiable based on experience
