Production Supervisor

Full time | Permanent 37.5 hours + overtime

Salary Circa £29k

Our retail display Leicestershire based clients require a production supervisor to join them in a full time and permanent role.

This is a hands on varied role working on assembling projects for multiple rollouts and also one off projects so unfased by a busy fast paced environment is essential.

Leading by example the production supervisor (in addition to being hands on) will also supervise a small team to ensure that the overall projects are delivered on time, to the required high standard and meet customer expectations.

Key Requirements:

* Lead by example and supervise a small team of permanent production operatives and occasional agency staff

* Part assembly and packing of retail display items working from specific instructions and quality checking components.

* Able to read and understand technical drawings for assembly purposes

* Use of appropriate packaging materials to protect goods. Some use of light hand power tools will be required.

* Use of fork lift truck

* Accurately record / check condition of fixtures to a brief and making reports.

* Carry out routine maintenance checks of warehouse equipment, including cleaning duties, disposal of unrequired displays - under instructions from Line Manager.

The Candidate:

* Experienced in assembly/production of retail/shopfitting displays

* Able to work well in a busy, fast paced environment

* Can supervise a team while completing hands on tasks themselves

* Good communicator, able to liaise well with direct colleagues and the wider team

* Fork lift licence would be preferred but not essential as training can be organised for the right person

* Good attention to detail, able to take responsibility and provide feedback/reports to their line manager in terms of the warehouse, retail fixtures, production operatives

* A flexible working approach - Hours outside of 37.5 Monday - Friday will be required

* Driver, own transport - Essential
