We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support in a specialist SEMH school in Thetford. This is a long-term role for Thursdays and Fridays, with the potential for permanent employment in the future.

Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 support for a student with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

* Assist with learning and development, helping the student to engage in lessons and achieve personal goals

* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored learning plans

* Support the student with daily activities in the classroom

* Help manage emotional and behavioural challenges in a calm and patient manner

Requirements

* Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with SEN or SEMH students

* Patience, resilience, and a calm, approachable personality

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students

* A commitment to long-term, consistent support for the student

* Ability to work as part of a team in a specialist school environment
