MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician that will join a leading business in the power generation sector. As a Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of all mechanical assets.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

Maintenance repairs on equipment such as conveyors, boilers, steam turbines etc.
Ensuring all routine maintenance is completed and recorded to the plants maintenance management system
Reacting and repairing failed equipment around the site
Assisting the Mechanical Engineer by updating, reviewing and modifying the maintenance plans for the plant
Reporting all of the health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents and near misses to the site reporting system
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:

Relevant engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship)
Experience in the Power Generation sector is preferred but not essential
Experience working in demanding and dynamic environments
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible
Ability to work well within a team and independently
General knowledge of H&S Legislation, Safety rules, Safe working environment and outages
