Job Description

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of our client, a leader in the specialist doors sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, focusing on expanding the company's market presence and customer base. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take the lead on developing and executing a strategic sales plan while managing your own time and priorities to achieve key objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Research and identify new business opportunities within the specialist door market, including fire-rated doors.

* Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, including cold calling, email campaigns, and industry networking.

* Present tailored proposals and solutions to meet the specific needs of prospective clients.

* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure beneficial agreements.

* Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling value propositions for clients.

* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets.

* Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.

* Track and analyse sales metrics and pipeline progress to identify opportunities for growth.

* Contribute to the company's market expansion by identifying new industry sectors and geographic areas for growth.

* Act as a representative of the company to raise awareness of its specialist door solutions across the market.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in business development, preferably within the construction or specialist doors industry.

* Ability to read technical drawings is essential for this role

* Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

* A self-motivated, proactive attitude with a focus on achieving results.

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

* Skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals.

* Ability to understand technical product offerings and align them with client needs.

* Experience in generating and converting leads into sales growth.
