Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable local business who are entering an exciting period of growth. This Management Accountant role is integral to the preparation of management and statutory accounts, as well as providing vital support to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Conduct full month-end reporting, ensuring all reconciliations are completed efficiently.
  • Review the accuracy of all accounting ledgers and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial information.
  • Assist in the completion of statutory financial statements for all subsidiaries.
  • Prepare information for External Audit and support finance projects.
  • Support the CFO, FC, and Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) with ad-hoc requests for information.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to support reporting and analysis.
  • Deputise for the FC in meetings and for other members of the finance team during absence.
  • Prepare Quarterly VAT returns and refine departmental information flow.
  • Prepare financial information for board and Group reporting for review by the FC.
  • Contribute to Weekly Managers meetings and liaise with other departments to meet reporting deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ideally ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own work, with attention to detail.
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy.
  • Self-starter, able to work unsupervised, and a reliable team worker.
  • Highly flexible with good timekeeping.
