Job Title: Accounts AssistantSalary: £24,000 - £27,000Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pmLocation: BromsgroveJob Description:My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in monitoring and reconciling accounts, managing hire purchase agreements, and supporting payroll processes. My clients is offering 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Christmas shutdown and excellent training opportunities! If you are organised, adaptable, and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Discount Bank Account Monitoring: Daily oversight of a high-value and diverse account.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for the current account and daily reconciliations for the invoice discount account.
  • Debtor Cash Account Management: Oversee a busy account ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, including monthly VAT account reconciliations.
  • Dispute Resolution System Management: Maintain and streamline their bespoke dispute resolution system to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Shared Inbox Management: Collaborate to manage the shared email inbox, ensuring timely responses and action.
  • Payroll Support: Assist the Accounts Manager with monthly payroll duties as required.
  • Customer Communication: Answer telephone calls and handle customer inquiries and requests professionally.
  • General Accounting Tasks: Undertake other accounting duties as needed to support the team.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • At least one year’s experience in an Accounts role
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
