We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to play a pivotal role in the our amazing projects in Manchester.

We represent a bold vision for the future of Manchester, with the aim to rejuvenate 390 acres of disused land into vibrant, interconnected neighbourhoods. This ambitious £4 billion, residential-led regeneration project, is set to deliver 15,000 new homes, alongside state-of-the-art transport infrastructure, public parks, schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces.

This initiative spans seven neighbourhoods and is Manchester's largest ever residential development. Over the next 10 to 15 years, Victoria North will create diverse and sustainable communities, offering a blend of family homes, apartments, and social and affordable housing options.

The first phase of this project marks a significant step forward in reconnecting Manchester's northern districts to the city centre.

As Senior Technical Manager, you will oversee the technical aspects of this ground-breaking project, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design and construction solutions that meet the needs of modern urban living. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the future of Manchester's residential landscape, driving innovation and excellence in one of the UK's most significant regeneration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Technical Oversight: Manage and lead the technical aspects of the residential construction project, ensuring that all technical drawings and specifications are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

* Client Interface: Serve as the main technical contact for the client, addressing queries and ensuring their technical requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

* Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with local authorities to ensure all technical designs meet planning conditions, building control standards, and comply with relevant regulations.

* Team Coordination: Maintain clear and effective communication across technical teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

* Documentation Management: Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive records of all technical documents, ensuring they are accurate and easily accessible.

* Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring potential issues are addressed before they impact the project timeline or budget.

* Health & Safety and Sustainability: Ensure that all technical designs comply with health and safety regulations, sustainable building practices (e.g., BREEAM), and industry standards.

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the technical team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work and successful project delivery.

* Reporting & Communication: Conduct regular technical meetings, prepare detailed reports, and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.

Required Skills:

* Extensive experience in technical management within the residential construction sector, particularly on large-scale projects.

* Strong proficiency in construction design software and technical documentation.

* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.

* Proven ability to manage complex projects, ensuring delivery within budget and on schedule.

* Up-to-date knowledge of relevant building legislation and sustainability practices.

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

* Effective client management and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders.

* Leadership qualities, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
