Current role holders can expect to earn over £50,000 with all of the extras included

Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30

Routinely work overtime, weekends and nights as required plus a shared out-of-hours emergency call-out rota system.

Working away from home, sometimes for extensive periods on a national basis.

Veolia's industrial division combines a range of industrial services to provide appropriate solutions such as chemical cleaning, tank cleaning, materials handling, water jetting and environmental response.

What will you be doing?

Managing teams of 7 / 12 industrial operatives, you will be responsible for promoting the company's health and safety, managing (in-person), training, mentoring and motivating your teams. You will be undertaking tasks such as;

• Storage tank/vessel cleaning under confined space regulations
  
• High-Pressure Water Jetting, pressure in excess of 10000 psi
  
• Plant Shutdowns
  
• Chemical Emergency Response
  
• Trauma & Crime Scene Cleaning
  
• Confined Space, working at height and unfamiliar hazardous environments
  
• Carry out regular health & safety inspections
  
• Liaise between the site, customer, office, suppliers and contractors
  
• Maintain accurate records of the hired plant
  
• Control delivery notes and invoice records for all materials and equipment delivered
  
• Control Waste Regulation documentation
  
• Carry out formal assessments of drivers and provide training if need be
  

• Participate in the Veolia Emergency Response / Cascade duty rota system
  

What are we looking for?

• Pre-employment medical assessment will be required to use the breathing apparatus required
  
• Proven background in supervising teams, ideally in an industrial cleaning environment
  
• Full UK driving licence
  
• Hold IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification
  
• Have an understanding of transport law & driver hour regulations
  
• First Aid at Work, Safety Passport, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Forklift Truck
  

Being able to demonstrate knowledge and competence of working at height, in confined spaces with experience in using high-pressure water jetting equipment is desirable.
